FlashNote for iOS and watchOS — Last updated February 18, 2026
FlashNote is a fully offline app. Your notes, voice recordings, and personal data never leave your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
All data created in FlashNote is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:
No data is uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third-party platform.
FlashNote uses Apple's on-device speech recognition to transcribe voice notes. All speech processing happens entirely on your device. No audio data is sent to Apple or any third party.
If you use FlashNote on Apple Watch, notes are transferred directly between your Watch and iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This transfer happens locally over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and does not involve any external servers.
FlashNote may send local notifications to help you review and reflect on your saved notes. These notifications are scheduled entirely on-device and do not use push notification servers.
FlashNote does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app contains no third-party SDKs that collect data.
FlashNote does not share any data with third parties. When you use the export or integration features (e.g., sharing to Reminders, Things, or Obsidian), data is sent directly to those apps on your device using URL schemes. No intermediary servers are involved.
FlashNote does not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the app collects no data from any user, it is safe for use by people of all ages.
